First a little background, Rooster Teeth was a powerhouse of the YouTube world bringing hours of entertaining content for years, but 8 months ago it was closed by its parent company for good.
…. Or was it?
This channel was one of the major influences on me, making me want to make YouTube videos. I absolutely loved their mixture of gaming culture, comedy and fun. It was a joy to watch them lark about both in game and on camera with a unique mixture of comedy sketches, gaming videos, game shows, series and yes even movies!
When the channel announced it was closing it was like a big part of my online life was ending…. Now fast forward 8 months, I was just doom scrolling through social media when a simple couple of lines of text caught my eye.
Burnie (an original owner and creator) and Ashley Burns have purchased back the Rooster Teeth brand! And in usual Burnie fashion he made a short comedy sketch video to announce this on the Rooster Teeth channel.
So there is hope for us all, nobody knows how the new (old) Rooster Teeth will look in the future, if any of the original cast will return or what but a glimmer of hope is all we Rooster Teeth fans needed to set the internet on fire again!
And by the way Burnie, if you read this and want to employ a (slightly) overweight funny British guy who would love to bring back some old classics likes “Fails of the Week” (let's face it most triple A games are glitchy as hell these days) and create some funny new series, I am always here for a conversation!
Me and Gav could be team Brexit!
But seriously this news has brought a ray of sunshine to a dull February day! The Rooster is (hopefully) rising like a phoenix from the ashes. Now i just need to book some tickets for RTX!
