Okay, real talk: what even is Friday when you’re a freelancer?
For some of us, it’s the glorious end to a week of client calls, chaotic content calendars, and figuring out what on earth "pivot to video" means (again). For others, it’s just another day of working in pyjamas and pretending that coffee counts as a meal. 🙃
But here’s the thing: I love Fridays. Not just because the rest of the world gets into weekend mode and the emails start to slow down (bless), but because it’s my unofficial cheat day.
Yes, that means carbs. Yes, that means Deliveroo. Yes, I will be eating chips with reckless abandon at my desk at 11:47am and calling it “creative fuel.”
Fridays are also for pretending I’ll have a productive weekend and definitely won’t end up watching boxsets on Netflix, Again.
So I want to know—what do Fridays at work mean to you?
Are you:
A “treat yo’self” type with a Friday latte and a full-fat croissant?
A “wrap it up and shut the laptop at 3pm” kinda freelancer?
A “panic-finish all my deadlines before 5” social media goblin who thrives on last-minute chaos?
Or a “what is time, I post memes on Saturdays too” content wizard with no off-switch?
Drop your best (or worst) Friday habits in the comments. Bonus points for gifs, confessions, or admitting that Friday is just Thursday in disguise when you’re self-employed.
Let’s celebrate the most loveable, chaotic, and carb-filled day of the week—freelancer style.
